Tralee Pitch and Putt, a well-established recreational facility located in Tralee, is seeking a dedicated and reliable CE Scheme Worker to join our team. As a CE Scheme Worker, you will be responsible for performing a range of greenkeeping duties and providing support in the clubhouse and grounds as required. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the upkeep and maintenance of our facility while gaining valuable work experience.
Responsibilities:
- Greenkeeping Duties:
- Assist in the maintenance and care of the pitch and putt course, including mowing, trimming, and edging the greens, fairways, and roughs.
- Assist in the upkeep of bunkers, ensuring they are raked and maintained appropriately.
- Operate and maintain equipment used for greenkeeping tasks in a safe and efficient manner.
- Grounds Maintenance:
- Assist in the maintenance of the facility’s grounds, including gardening, weeding, and planting flowers and shrubs.
- Carry out regular litter picking and waste management tasks to ensure a clean and presentable environment.
- Perform basic maintenance and repairs on fences, signs, benches, and other structures around the grounds.
- Health and Safety:
- Adhere to all health and safety guidelines and regulations while performing tasks.
- Report any potential hazards or maintenance issues to the appropriate supervisor.
- Ensure that all tools and equipment are used safely and properly maintained.
Requirements:
- Applicants must be eligible for the Community Employment (CE) Scheme.
- Physical fitness and ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently when required.
- Previous experience in a similar role or in a customer service environment is desirable but not essential.
Working Conditions:
- This is a part-time position, working approximately 20 hours per week, as determined by the CE Scheme guidelines.
- The CE Scheme Worker will be provided with necessary safety equipment and appropriate training as required.
Note: The CE Scheme Worker position at Tralee Pitch and Putt is open only to candidates who meet the eligibility criteria for the Community Employment Scheme.
